PERSONALITY
Jay is a cheerful lad who has a tendency to lean towards quiet unless prompted or actively engaged in his interests. The few friends he has would describe him as focused, generous but otherwise private. They know he has two siblings, but no one knows exactly their names or which part of London they live in. They know he dated a girl for six years, but no one could tell you her name or what it is that she did, or even why it is they broke things off.

Even his work is shrouded in relative mystery. No one precisely knows exactly what it is Jay researches, just that it's medically related. What they can tell you is that at Christmas, he gifted them all far too generously, and that last year he organised a terrific stag do for his friend. They can tell you that before he moved abroad, he used to visit his parents three times a week to do their shopping, though he's never mentioned their names or what it is they do.

His secrecy is a learned habit. Society is not as accepting of what few gifted humans that have surfaced as he'd like them to be, and Jay is, well, as gifted as they come. His gift affords him the ability to blend in, though, and he likes it that way.

If you take anything away from an encounter with him, it's usually that he's nice. Hardly anyone has ever gotten on his bad side and it's difficult to say if he has one at all.

If -- and it is a large if -- you manage to bypass all of that, whether it be because you do work with him, or you're like him: Jay is curious. Annoyingly curious, in fact, about anyone and everyone who show abilities or qualities beyond human. So curious, in fact, that he often risks his own safety to satisfy the curiosity.

Jay's research deals primarily in blood, and however nice he is, he isn't afraid to get his hands on non-normal blood by less than legal means. Jay is nice, sure, but would he sell you out if it meant he could further his research? Well, most people never get close enough to find out.

APPEARANCE
Jay is 6"3, keeps a regular undercut, and works out regularly. Under his usual scrubs and white coat is an impressive gallery of tattoos, some exceptionally faded with time, and others brand new.

Keeps a well-groomed beard, routinely complains about the itchiness of said beard.

Often looks considerably in disarray at the end of a work day, and always just a little tired.

ABILITIES
SUPER IMMUNITY ayish has the very unassuming ability of super-immunity. He has never been sick in his life and he never will be. His blood, if extracted and properly used, can cure, well, anything. It has afforded him a very successful career in medical research and also a contract with a government based research team.
On the side though, Jay sells isolated samples to select pharmaceutical companies to make quick cash. Jay has no idea of his greater purpose within the Nocturne mythos: it may be he might never know, until the very last second.
SUPER CELL TURNER OVER Jay heals exceptionally fast; most knicks heal in minutes, while more serious wounds heal in a matter of hours. His skin cell turnover is also exceptionally fast, and only getting faster as he ages.

HISTORY
Event
Born in the late 80's in Oxford, London. Is the oldest of three children.
Geared his academic studies towards becoming a surgeon in University before realising he could make money more easily doing medical research, and switched his focus to virology later on.
Has had two relatively long but ultimately unsuccessful relationships.
Worked for a government run research team dedicated to viral outbreaks. Works abroad now for a private firm, doing mostly the same job but with better perks and access. His focus now lies in testing interactions of his blood with other powered individuals to maintain higher cure results. Absolutely shady in his acquisition of research samples.
